Fusion People are proud to be recruiting a Quality Controller on behalf of one of our esteemed clients, a global manufacturer of specialist heavy equipment based in Cookstown. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with a genuine focus on quality, safety and developing its people.

Hours
39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:45pm
Friday: 7:00am to 1:00pm

What you'll be doing

• Reporting to the Quality Manager, inspecting chassis, ancillary equipment and cut and folded production parts
• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections using 3D model software and uploading reports
• Paint checks on finished units and inspection of fabricated parts and sub-assemblies before main build
• Raising and escalating non-conformances, and helping resolve customer quality issues
• Maintaining quality gates on the shop floor and supporting quality investigations
• Carrying out internal audits such as 5S and contributing to continuous improvement

What you'll bring

• Experience in a quality or inspection role within a manufacturing environment
• Confident using measuring equipment such as weld gauges, taper gauges and angle finders
• A good understanding of the welding process
• Experience working within a quality management system
• Basic computer skills and the ability to write clear handwritten reports
• Strong teamwork, communication and health and safety awareness
