Maths Tutor

Help Learners Develop Confidence and Thrive in Maths

We're looking for a Maths Tutor to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, often benefiting from additional support to strengthen their mathematical understanding, improve confidence, and re-engage with learning.

Whether you're experienced in primary Maths, secondary Maths, Functional Skills, or GCSE support, this is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact through individualised tuition.

Pay Rate: £25 - £30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Strong Maths subject knowledge
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• ADHD
• Anxiety and school avoidance
• EHCPs and additional educational needs
