Know your FCL from your LCL? Can you get an import shipment through customs without breaking into a cold sweat? Then we should probably talk.

We're looking for 2 experienced Import Operator/Freight Forwarders to join a busy but bubbly office. You'll be managing imports from start to finish, keeping customers updated, dealing with shipping lines, hauliers and overseas agents - and ideally knowing your way around customs entries too.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing import shipments from arrival to final delivery
  • Handling FCL/LCL documentation and keeping paperwork shipshape
  • Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents and customers
  • Completing or coordinating customs clearance and entries
  • Tracking shipments and solving the inevitable "where is my container?" questions
  • Dealing with delays, amendments and the occasional shipping-line curveball
  • Keeping customers informed without needing to be chased every five minutes
  • Invoicing, checking costs and generally making sure the numbers add up

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in import freight forwarding
  • Good understanding of sea freight and import processes
  • Customs experience is highly desirable
  • Comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers and transport providers
  • Organised, commercially aware and able to juggle multiple shipments without losing the plot
  • Someone who knows that "ETA" isn't just another three-letter acronym to throw into an email
