Logistics Operator

Location: Livingston
Salary: -13.50, increasing to -14.25 after a 12-week training period
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm

We're looking for a hands-on Logistics Operator to join a busy operation in Livingston.

You'll be part of the day-to-day movement of goods and spare parts, with a strong focus on dispatch, courier coordination, goods out, and loading and unloading vehicles.

What you'll be doing:

• Coordinating the dispatch of goods, spare parts and equipment via courier and freight services
• Using courier portals to book collections, arrange deliveries, print shipping labels and track consignments
• Preparing goods for dispatch
• Preparing shipment documentation, including customs paperwork and delivery notes
• Booking stock in and out of the warehouse and maintaining accurate dispatch and inventory records
• Monitoring deliveries and tracking shipments, resolving delays or delivery issues where required
• Loading and unloading vehicles and ensuring goods are handled safely throughout the dispatch process
• Maintaining an organised, safe and efficient warehouse and dispatch area
• Supporting the wider logistics team with day-to-day dispatch, courier and delivery requirements

What we're looking for:

• Distribution or logistics experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience using courier portals or booking delivery/collection services would be beneficial
• A reliable and hands-on approach
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Forklift licence beneficial, but not essential
